Position Overview:

Opens accounts, explains and processes investments and other financial services, and corrects records by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interviews customers to obtain information and explain available financial services such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Account, and Certificates of Deposit. 
  • Rents safe deposit boxes, processes billing and update customer information. 
  • Input information in computer system to open account. 
  • Answers customer questions and investigates and corrects errors, following established procedures.
  • Manages travel money and gift cards sales and audits. 
  • Process ATM and VISA applications; sets up customers with internet and mobile banking access; obtains eFunds and/or OFAC information. 
  • Processes customer and business check orders. 
  • Acts as backup to the teller line when needed. 
  • Updates customer information on computer system. 
  • Scan, index, and/or file documents. 
  • Prepares passbook loans and manages documents pertaining to them. 
  • Assists customers with direct deposit forms. 
  • Updates deposit rates; manages CD deposits, withdrawals, renewals and maturities. 
  • Purchases foreign currency for customers and sends items on collection; trains other employees for various functions. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

May be trained and authorized to provide sup/dup keys to the teller line, open and close branch, supervisory decision making.

Education and/or Experience: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
