General Questions

Who Owns Mt. McKinley Bank?

Our depositors do! Mt. McKinley Bank is a state chartered mutual bank. We have no shareholders so our profits, after covering normal bank operations, are put right back into the bank and in turn that value is passed on to our customers. More information about our history and formation can be found here.

Are There Any Open Jobs?

Positions come available from time to time at Mt. McKinley Bank. Available positions are listed on our Careers page, along with other information regarding applications.

What Are Your Weekend Hours?

All branches are open Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., except for the Northeast Branch (by Wal-Mart), where the drive-thru is open Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the North Pole Branch, which is closed. All branches are closed on Sundays. You can find the full list of our hours of operations on our Hours & Locations page.

How do I sign up for online banking?

You can enroll in online banking here.

What’s a checking or savings account number and where can I find it?

Your checking or savings account numbers are a 10-digit number assigned to your account. This number is 10 digits long regardless of whether the account is checking or savings. Your account number can be found in the following places:

Upper right-hand corner of your bank statement. Referred to as your “Statement Number”

If you have a checking account, the number can be found on the bottom of your check, to the right of the routing number (325271268).

What account number do I use for ACH?

See above. Sometimes the two leading zeros can be dropped off of the front of the regular account number for ACH purposes.

How do I change my mailing address?

A change of address form can be completed at any of our five locations. You may also contact us by phone at (907) 452-1751 or toll free at (888) 515-1774. In addition, you may also fax changes to (907) 451-3501. We prefer to have people call, visit us or fill out forms because it provides us with measures to guard your accounts against fraud. Calling provides us an opportunity to challenge various aspects of your account, providing us with fairly foolproof methods of determining who has the proper permissions on the account to make address changes.

I lost my VISA debit card. What do I do?

Please notify Mt. McKinley Bank as soon as possible at (907) 452-1751 or toll free at (888) 515-1774. If after hours, please leave us a detailed message so we can help you at our first opportunity. In addition, you should also contact VISA at (800) 554-8969 or outside the US at (973) 682-2652.

Is my money fully insured?

Yes it is! The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insures your deposits up to $250,000. There are other deposit scenarios where this insured amount can fluctuate. Please use the FDIC Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator (EDIE) located here. If you have any questions or concerns about your federally insured deposits, please feel free to contact us.
